Who we are

Kairo Theory is an experimental design and technology studio at the intersection of philosophy, creativity, and advanced intelligence.

We believe every creation is more than a product or service — it is a signal: a distilled moment of insight crafted to resonate beyond trends and immediate utility. Our work is guided by the conviction that true innovation is timeless, shaped not by speed but by precision, intention, and alignment with deeper truths.

From our earliest AI-generated visual works and concept-driven products to the future-focused advisory and AI research we are building toward, Kairo Theory exists to forge ideas that endure. Every project is an invitation to think, to feel, and to create with purpose.

We are not chasing the present. We are a quiet force shaping what comes next — aligned with insight, grounded in elevated integrity, and designed for those who move beyond time.

What we do

At Kairo Theory, our work unfolds in phases — each building toward a future where human creativity and advanced intelligence evolve in harmony.

Phase 1Products

We create concept-driven products and wearable signals — tangible expressions of our principles. Each piece is designed to invite reflection, spark conversation, and embody timeless aesthetics.

Phase 2Services

We offer strategic design and AI advisory services for individuals, organizations, and communities ready to move with intention. Our approach blends technological innovation with human-centered philosophy to shape systems, experiences, and outcomes that endure.

Phase 3AI Research & Development

We are laying the groundwork for a dedicated AI lab — a space to explore human-aligned, ethical, and imaginative AI applications. Our aim is to push the boundaries of design and intelligence while honoring the principles that make them truly human.

Across every phase, our work is united by one commitment: to craft signals that live beyond time, shaping not only what’s possible today, but what’s inevitable tomorrow.

About the Founder

Josh Mac is a seasoned leader, engineer, and strategist whose career bridges the worlds of military command, advanced engineering, and high-stakes program management.

Commissioned from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Josh began his service as an Infantryman before commissioning as an Armor Officer. Over 14 years of active and 5 years reserve duty, he led in diverse and demanding environments, including deployments to South Korea, Iraq, and Kuwait — experiences that honed his ability to lead under pressure, adapt in uncertainty, and execute with precision.

Following his military service, Josh spent four years in the security technology industry, first as an Engineering Program Manager leading tens of millions of dollars in development and R&D programs, and later as a Program Manager where his signature achievement was transferring the intellectual property of a critical detection technology, establishing a new production line, and standing up all processes to deliver highly scientific detection products for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction mission.

Josh holds two MBAs — one from an Ivy League institution and another from one of Canada’s most prestigious business schools — as well as a Lean Six Sigma and Agile certifications. His technical and creative acumen was recognized early, winning a MIT Engineering Design Contest in 2010.

Today, as the founder of Kairo Theory, Josh channels his rare combination of strategic vision, engineering expertise, and philosophical depth into an evolving venture that will move from concept-driven products to advisory services and, ultimately, advanced AI research and development. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Josh’s curiosity extends into psychology, leadership theory, and the mechanics of both engines and ideas — always with the intent to create work that endures.
